卢柯院士被授予TMS Fellow Award

　　当地时间2017年3月1日，美国矿产、金属及材料学会（The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society，简称TMS）2017年颁奖仪式在美国加州San Diego举行。在该仪式上，我国材料科学家卢柯院士被授予TMS Fellow Award。TMS是国际材料界历史最悠久、最有影响的学会之一。1964年开始设立TMS学会最高荣誉奖-- TMS Fellow奖，奖励世界上在冶金和材料科学领域作出最突出贡献并得到广泛认可的科学家，其在世名额保持在100名以内。卢柯院士是目前TMS Fellow中唯一一位中国大陆科学家，也是继2001年师昌绪先生后获得此奖项的我国科学家第二人。颁奖委员会认为他在金属和纳米材料力学性能研究方面功勋卓著，同时还具备在材料研究研究领域中的世界级领导才能。（Citation：For seminal contributions to the understanding of the mechanical properties of metals and nanocrystalline materials and for his world-class leadership of materials research.）
